Shingle recycling will start on Monday 4th November 2024 and is estimated to take approximately four to five weeks to complete. Materials will be moved from between Splash Point and Cliffe Gardens and evenly distributed back to the central section of beach. The extraction location may need to relocate to Tide Mills if there’s insufficient surplus shingle at Splash Point.
Phase 2 will take place in February/March 2025. The beach is regularly monitored throughout the winter months and our contractors will be mobilised if any urgent/emergency works are required.
