Seaford Town Council invites the local community to come together to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on Thursday 8th May 2025
9.00 am – Raising of the VE Day 80 Flag and the Proclamation by the Town Crier, at Seaford War Memorial, Sutton Road, Seaford.
9.30 pm – The lighting of the Beacon of Peace at Splash Point, Seaford.
Let us know if you’re holding an ‘open’ street party on this day or the bank holiday Monday (5th) and we can add your details to our 80th anniversary of VE Day page.
We’re also encouraging local shops, restaurants and pubs to get involved by decorating their windows.
The Royal British Legion has many items that can be purchased for the event and all funds go towards supporting veterans. Details can be found here
