UPDATE 13th March 2025:
Shingle recycling will finish at the end of this week – Friday 14th March. A further 5 to 7 days will then be required to profile/grade the beach between Tide Mills and Splash Point with the 2 bulldozers. All work will be complete, and the Seaford Sailing Club site compound removed by Friday 28th March at the latest.
30th January 2025:
From Thursday 30th January 2025 the shingle recycling site compound will be set up on the beach crest adjacent to Seaford Sailing Club, and cones and signage will be placed along the frontage.
Shingle recycling will start on Thursday 6th February and is estimated to take approximately four to five weeks to complete. Material will be moved from Tide Mills and evenly placed along the eroded section of frontage between The Buckle and the Martello Tower. Material will also be moved from Splash Point if sufficient surplus material becomes available during Phase 2.
