2016 elections:

By-elections to fill five casual vacancies in the Town Council took place in October 2016. Full details of these can be found on the Elections page.

Ahead of the election the Council hosted a Prospective Councillors Open Evening. This was well attended and gave indidivudals considering standing for election the opportunity to find out a little more about what the role entails, the expectations and demands, and the chance to meet with existing Councillors and Council staff. Further details are available from the press release issued and the presentation slides that were discussed on the night.
